Review on Inclusion of Eczema in Chronic Disease Management Programme and Treatment Eligible for MediSave Coverage

22 Ms Yeo Wan Ling asked the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health as regards the Ministry's review on the inclusion of eczema into the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) (a) what is the timeline for the review; (b) whether the Ministry will update the CDMP inclusion criteria specific to dermatological conditions; and (c) if eczema is included in the CDMP, what types of treatments, such as phototherapy, will be included for MediSave coverage.

Mr Ong Ye Kung: The Ministry of Health is reviewing the inclusion of atopic dermatitis to the Chronic Disease Management Programme and will share the updates early next year.

If atopic dermatitis is included, guidelines for medical professionals will be updated with the treatments claimable under MediSave.
