Review of Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act for Ageing Condominiums

45 Mr Yip Hon Weng asked the Minister for National Development for condominiums over 30 years old (a) what is the status of the review of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act to better protect such ageing buildings; (b) whether there are plans to enhance regulations ensuring timely maintenance of common property by responsible parties; and (c) whether such condominium MCSTs will be mandated to maintain adequate sinking funds.
