76 Ms Hany Soh asked the Acting Minister for Transport whether the Ministry has received reports of foreigners without a valid work pass driving their vehicles into Singapore and using such vehicles for business or trade purposes in Singapore, especially in the construction and commerce sectors.

Mr Jeffrey Siow: The Land Transport Authority has received reports of foreign-registered vehicles being used for commercial purposes but not on whether the drivers of those vehicles have valid work passes. We will work with other Government agencies to study how to prevent foreigners without valid work passes using their vehicles in Singapore for commercial purposes.
