20 Mr Lee Hong Chuang asked the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment (a) what is the current recycling rate for glass waste; (b) what percentage of recycled glass waste comprises laminated glass from end-of-life vehicles and construction and demolition waste.

Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien: Glass waste makes up around one per cent of total waste generated in 2024, with a recycling rate of 7%. Laminated glass is currently not recycled due to operational constraints and commercial viability.
