Rectification of Misaligned or Damaged Perimeter Drains due to Ground Movement and Settlement in Mature HDB Estates

45 Mr Murali Pillai asked the Minister for National Development whether HDB is minded to undertake or fund the rectification works of misaligned or damaged perimeter drains due to ground movement and settlement at mature HDB estates.

Mr Desmond Lee: Misalignment or damage to the perimeter drains is a result of natural deterioration and the subsidence of the underlying soil over time.

The maintenance and repair of the drains in the common areas comes under the responsibility of the respective Town Councils.
