Publishing Real-time LRT Arrival Data via Public Apps and DataMall During Off-peak Hours and Weekends, and Technical Limitations on Data Release

60 Mr Edward Chia Bing Hui asked the Minister for Transport (a) whether the Land Transport Authority will publish real-time LRT arrival data via public apps or DataMall specifically during off-peak hours and weekends when train frequencies are lower; and (b) whether the Ministry can provide an update on any technical limitations preventing a time-restricted or line-specific data release.

Mr Jeffrey Siow: The Land Transport Authority does not plan to provide real-time Light Rail Transit (LRT) arrival data through public applications or DataMall, as LRT trains operate at short and consistent intervals even during off-peak hours and weekends.
