Ministry of HealthSpeakers

24 Mr Christopher de Souza asked the Minister for Health whether persons with epilepsy can be provided with support, such as finding employment and psychological support.
Mr Ong Ye Kung: Medical social workers provide social, emotional and psychoeducational support for persons with epilepsy and their caregivers, like that for other individuals, as well as employment support through referrals to agencies, such as Workforce Singapore and NTUC's Employment and Employability Institute.
For persons with epilepsy who also have cognitive difficulties or mental health issues, psychological support is also provided by psychologists who assess and advise on targeted areas and intervention.
In addition, support groups and community organisations allow individuals with epilepsy, their caregivers and families to network, providing a platform for mutual support.
