Proposal to Restrict Smoking at or Near Windows or Balconies of HDB or Private Residential Units

37 Mr Alex Yeo asked the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment (a) whether the Ministry will reconsider restricting smoking at or near windows or balconies in HDB or private apartment units; and (b) if so, whether such restrictions can be enforced in the same way that high-rise littering is being monitored and enforced.

Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien: There are currently no plans to extend smoking restrictions to Housing and Development Board or private apartments, including smoking at or near windows and balconies.
