Proposal for Rebranding of IMH To Drive Help-seeking

64 Mr David Hoe asked the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health (a) whether the Ministry has studied if the name, branding and public perception of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) affect stigma or willingness to seek help; and (b) whether the Ministry will consider rebranding IMH or its public-facing services to better reflect mental well-being, recovery and community-based support.

Mr Ong Ye Kung: Yes, the Ministry of Health is studying the need to rebrand Institute of Mental Health in recognition of its status as a key national institution for mental health.
