Percentage of International Students Studying in Government Schools, Colleges, Polytechnics and ITEs

37 Mr Ong Teng Koon asked the Minister for Education (Schools) what is the percentage of international students studying in primary schools, secondary schools, junior colleges, polytechnics and Institutes of Technical Education.

Mr Ng Chee Meng: Out of the total enrolment in our national schools, that is, primary schools, secondary schools and junior colleges, around 5% are international students.

International students make up around 1% of full-time students in the Institute of Technical Education and less than 10% of full-time students in the polytechnics.
