33 Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Acting Minister for Transport what is the percentage of depot staff working with electric buses who are certified and capable of handling high voltage electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
Mr Jeffrey Siow: All bus depot technicians handling high voltage maintenance of electric buses are required to obtain the National EV Specialist Safety (NESS-BUS) certification. This ensures that they are familiar with electrical safety requirements when handling high voltage batteries.
