Other Uses of HDB Multi-storey Car Parks Aside from Rooftop Gardening

60 Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Minister for National Development what are the flexible uses of HDB multi-storey car parks that the Ministry has considered other than rooftop gardening.

Mr Chee Hong Tat: Where suitable, the Housing and Development Board (HDB) has converted the upper levels of HDB multi-storey car parks (MSCPs) to greenery and community gardens. HDB has also repurposed spaces at several multi-storey car park (MSCPs) into courier hubs under the Courier Hub Scheme, where delivery companies can sort and handle parcels.

HDB will consider requests to repurpose MSCPs to other uses that benefit the community, subject to site-specific assessments on technical feasibility and safety considerations.
