48 Mr Abdul Samad asked the Minister for National Development (a) how many commercial and residential buildings are currently powered by solar panels; and (b) what is their average power capacity.

Mr Desmond Lee: As of 4Q 2020, there are solar panels installed on around 2,500 commercial and residential buildings.

The installed power capacity of solar panels on buildings varies according to the availability and suitability of rooftop spaces, among other considerations.
