35 Mr Yip Hon Weng asked the Acting Minister for Transport (a) based on the new cross-border taxi rules, what enforcement measures will prevent foreign taxis from conducting local point-to-point trips; (b) how will fair competition be maintained when local taxis face higher operating costs; and (c) whether the Ministry will negotiate with Malaysia to allow Singaporean taxis offering taxi services in Malaysia access to subsidised fuel.
