94 Mr Melvin Yong Yik Chye asked the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment (a) whether the Ministry can provide an update on the number of littering offences in the first half of 2022; and (b) whether there has been an increase in the number of littering offences as compared to the first half of 2021.
Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien: From 1 January to 31 May 2021, the National Environment Agency carried out enforcement actions on around 7,400 cases of littering. In the same period in 2022, there were around 7,800 cases.
