Imposing Closer Scrutiny on Travellers Arriving from UK and Europe Given Outbreak of New COVID-19 Strain

17 Mr Melvin Yong Yik Chye asked the Minister for Health (a) whether the Multi-Ministry Taskforce will impose closer scrutiny on travellers arriving from the UK and Europe, given the outbreak of the new COVID-19 strain there; and (b) whether there are any data to show that the current COVID-19 vaccines are effective against this new strain.
