20 Mr Sharael Taha asked the Minister for Trade and Industry whether the tight labour market and the stronger Singapore dollar has adversely affected Singapore’s competitiveness in securing investments into Singapore.
Mr Gan Kim Yong: Amidst strong economic headwinds, we must strengthen efforts to keep Singapore competitive, continue to attract investments, generate growth and create good jobs for Singaporeans. Our fundamentals remain strong and we expect to meet our medium-term investment commitment targets, barring unforeseen circumstances.
