Impact of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Locating Wafer Fabrication Plant in Singapore

17 Mr Chua Kheng Wee Louis asked the Minister for Trade and Industry (a) whether the Government is actively pursuing Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to locate a 12-inch wafer fabrication plant in Singapore instead of Europe through the use of incentives; (b) if so, when will the outcome be finalised; (c) what is the expected total value of the incentives and subsidies to TSMC; and (d) what is the expected impact to GDP, employment and tax revenues.
