Formal Tracking of Intergenerational Wealth Transfers in Resale Property Purchases towards Housing Affordability

53 Mr Low Wu Yang Andre asked the Minister for National Development (a) whether the Ministry formally tracks the proportion of private and HDB resale property purchases that are funded significantly by intergenerational wealth transfers; and (b) what is the Ministry's assessment of the impact of such wealth transfers on housing affordability in the private residential and HDB resale markets respectively.
