60 Ms Valerie Lee asked the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth whether the Ministry will consider extending the SG Culture Pass to include Singapore-authored cookbooks and culinary publications that document Singapore's food heritage, traditional recipes and hawker culture, in recognition of their role in preserving and promoting Singapore's cultural identity.
Mr David Neo: The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth recognises that Singapore-authored cookbooks and culinary publications play a meaningful role in documenting our local culinary heritage. The current stage of SG Culture Pass (CP) implementation prioritises Singapore literature books. We do not intend to expand the scope to include culinary publications for now, but will review the scope of CP in future.
