Ministry of National DevelopmentSpeakers
Transcript
33 Mr Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim asked the Minister for National Development whether the Multi-Generation Priority Scheme can be extended to include single unmarried children of elderly parents so that single children and their elderly parents can make joint applications for HDB flats in a BTO project and live proximate to one another.
Mr Desmond Lee: Today, married children and their parents buying new flats to live with or near one another, get priority access to Build-To-Order flats. As announced at the National Day Rally in August 2024, from mid-2025 onwards, we will extend such priority access to all parents and their children, married and single. The Ministry of National Development will share more details when ready.
