101 Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Acting Minister for Transport whether the Ministry can provide an update on the electric vehicle (EV) mobile charging systems sandbox trials, including (i) whether there are any preliminary findings on the usage patterns for such charging services, and technical and operational requirements of such technologies and (ii) whether there are plans to increase the number of participants in such trials.

Mr Jeffrey Siow: The ongoing electric vehicle (EV) mobile charging systems sandbox trials will complete by 2Q 2028. The Land Transport Authority will analyse the usage patterns at the end of the trials.

Companies interested to trial new charging technologies can still apply to participate in the regulatory sandboxes. EV users interested in participating in the use of such mobile chargers can reach out to these companies directly.
