Enhancing Enforcement and Regulating Vaping Product Promotion on Social Media Platforms

31 Dr Wan Rizal asked the Minister for Health how will the Ministry enhance its enforcement capabilities in tackling the illegal importation, distribution, and promotion of vaping products in Singapore, considering the sophisticated strategies employed by vaping product manufacturers that leverage on social media influencers and third-party hirers to circumvent local laws.
32 Dr Wan Rizal asked the Minister for Health what collaborative efforts are being made with the Infocomm Media Development Authority, social media platforms, and other stakeholders to enhance the policing of online content related to vaping in order to protect public health and ensure compliance with the Code of Practice for Online Safety.
33 Dr Wan Rizal asked the Minister for Health in light of recent news that a major manufacturer of vaping products has been using social media influencers around the world, including strategies driven from Singapore, to target young people, what measures are being implemented to monitor and regulate the promotion of vaping products on social media platforms by influencers.
