93 Ms Hazlina Abdul Halim asked the Acting Minister for Manpower whether the Ministry will review the effectiveness of existing wage protection mechanisms for migrant workers, including whether salary payment records should be cross-checked against work permit data, to flag employers who repeatedly delay or default on wage payments to their migrant workers.

Protecting all workers and ensuring they are paid their salaries on time is a priority for the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). MOM will continue to review and strengthen our processes and safeguards to do so.
