Mr Gan Kim Yong: Collectively, the creative industries have performed well in the last 10 years from 2012 to 2022. Receipts have more than doubled from $16.6 billion to $39.8 billion, with exports growing from $4.3 billion to $16.2 billion. Nominal value-added has also doubled from $5.7 billion to $11.4 billion. With employment remaining stable at about 63,000 workers, the value-added per worker has thus doubled from $90,400 to $184,100.
The outlook for the creative industries remains positive, with opportunities to leverage technology and international partnerships to grow in Singapore and beyond.
