69 Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Acting Minister for Transport in respect of the approximate 30,900 private heavy vehicle (HV) parking lots (a) what is the number of such lots registered to licence holders which indicated in their applications to operate a HV parking lot that they do not allow the public to enquire about parking space availability; and (b) how many HVs are registered to such licence holders.
Mr Jeffrey Siow: Heavy Vehicle Park (HVP) licence holders have the discretion to manage the allocation of vehicle parking certificates for their parking lots. About 90% of private heavy vehicle parking lots meant for heavy vehicles, or about 27,000 are not available for public enquiry on lot availability. HVP licence holders may or may not directly own heavy vehicle.
