Comparison of Public Playground Numbers and by Facility Types over Past 10 Years

76 Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Minister for National Development (a) what is the current number of public playgrounds in Singapore; (b) what is the breakdown of these playgrounds that have (i) swings and (ii) sand play areas; and (c) how these respective figures compare to those from 10 years ago.

Mr Chee Hong Tat: There are currently around 2,800 public playgrounds implemented by the Housing Development Board (HDB) and National Parks Board in HDB estates and parks. The number of playgrounds has increased over the years.
