BTO and SBF HDB Flats Sold to Single and Second-time Applicants

86 Ms Poh Li San asked the Minister for National Development in the past 10 years (a) how many new Build-to-Order (BTO) and Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) HDB flats have been sold to single applicants as compared to family units; and (b) what is the proportion of flats sold to second-time applicants.

Mr Chee Hong Tat: From 2016 to 2025, about 164,400 Build-To-Order (BTO) and Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) flats were booked by families, comprising 160,800 three-room and larger flats and 3,600 two-room Flexi flats, while about 16,700 two-room Flexi flats were booked by single applicants.

Over the same period, second-timer families accounted for about 12% of all BTO and SBF flats booked.
