Breakdown of Private-Hire Drivers' Profiles across Gender, Age and Educational Qualifications

60 Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan asked the Acting Minister for Transport as of 31 December 2025, what is the profile of registered private-hire drivers by (i) gender, (ii) age and (iii) highest educational qualification attained.

Mr Jeffrey Siow: The average age of the private hire car drivers is 52 years. The majority of them are male, and have secondary level education or below. Less than one-third of all drivers have tertiary education.
