Average Waiting Time for Completion of Goodwill Repairs of HDB Flats

42 Ms Nadia Ahmad Samdin asked the Minister for National Development as of January 2025, whether the average waiting time to complete Goodwill Repair Assistance cases of HDB flats has improved since the previous time frame of four to six months during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Desmond Lee: During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an industry-wide shortage of workers, and the average waiting time to complete each case under the Goodwill Repair Assistance (GRA) scheme was between four to six months. While the number of GRA requests remain high, the average waiting time has improved, with about 80% of the cases completed within four months. The Housing and Development Board will prioritise cases where the extent of spalling concrete or ceiling leaks is more severe.
