Assisting Vulnerable Residents to Apply for Certificate of Medical Need to Ride Mobility Scooter on Public Paths

110 Mr Lee Hong Chuang asked the Acting Minister for Transport with the implementation of Certificate of Medical Need Requirement for individuals who drive or ride a mobility scooter on public paths from mid-2026, how will the Ministry assist vulnerable residents who may not have the technological means of obtaining the necessary permits.

Mr Jeffrey Siow: The Member may refer to the Second Reading of the Land Transport and Related Matters Bill for more details on the implementation of the Certificate of Medical Need requirement and how users can obtain certification.
