60 Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment in the past five years (a) what is the annual number of food poisoning cases that have occurred as a result of consuming food sold by home-based food businesses; and (b) what actions are taken in these cases.
Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien: Over the past five years, Singapore Food Agency (SFA) investigated an annual average of one suspected case of food poisoning incident linked to consuming food sold by home-based food businesses. The investigations did not find any causative link between the food sold and the food poisoning incident.
