Ministry of TransportSpeakers
Transcript
38 Ms Valerie Lee asked the Acting Minister for Transport (a) whether the Ministry has considered adjusting the stipulated peak hours for bus services in light of increased flexible and hybrid work arrangements; and (b) what steps are being taken to encourage public transport operators to increase service frequency beyond the traditional peak periods to better reflect current travel demands and commuting patterns.
Mr Jeffrey Siow: The Land Transport Authority and bus operators adjust the provision of bus services based on ridership and evolving commuter travel patterns. This includes increasing service frequencies during off-peak periods, if there is sufficient demand.
