Speech Time for Leader of the Opposition

The Leader of the House (Ms Indranee Rajah): Mr Speaker, I beg to move, "That, notwithstanding Standing Order 48(8), with effect from this day's Sitting until the end of the 14th Parliament, the Leader of the Opposition Mr Pritam Singh shall be entitled to speak for up to 40 minutes to any question in Parliament".

This is to give effect to the privilege of a longer duration of speeches accorded to Mr Pritam Singh as the Leader of the Opposition that I spoke about in my Ministerial Statement earlier. Mr Speaker, I beg to move.
