Clarification by Parliamentary Secretary to Minister for Social and Family Development
Ministry of Social and Family DevelopmentSpeakers
Summary
This clarification concerns factual corrections made by Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Social and Family Development Eric Chua regarding his March 2022 Committee of Supply reply. He clarified that technological evolutions would be provided on the website rather than an app and updated the pilot locations for co-located institutions to Kreta Ayer and Taman Jurong. He further corrected the description of these services to specify the co-location of Social Service Offices and Social Service Agency-run family services. These updates were issued to ensure the official report accurately reflects the Ministry’s efforts in streamlining social service delivery and enhancing digital accessibility. The Parliamentary Secretary’s statement concludes the formal rectification of information regarding the co-location pilot programs and the Ministry's chosen technological medium.
