The following statement was made in the reply given by the Minister of State for Home Affairs (Assoc Prof Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim) during the Second Reading debate of the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Bill at the Sitting of 21 March 2023:
The Minister of State for Home Affairs (Assoc Prof Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim): What is key is that with the capabilities that we have built and those that we have detected before, we will be able to test quickly. But there will be new ones where if we have not got any confirmation, we will not arrest the person. I wish to make the following factual correction to the reply given during the Second Reading debate of the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Bill at the Sitting of 21 March 2023. My reply should read as follows:
