The Senior Minister of State for Finance (Ms Indranee Rajah): Mr Speaker, on behalf of the Finance Minister, I beg to move, "That the Bill be now read a Second time."

The purpose of this Bill is to make additional provision in accordance with Articles 148(2) and 148C(2) of the Constitution for expenditure in excess of the sums authorised by the Supply Act 2017. The additional sums have been approved by the House in the Supplementary Estimates of Expenditure for the Financial Year, 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018, as contained in Paper Cmd 14 of 2018. Mr Speaker, I beg to move.
