The Senior Minister of State for Finance (Ms Indranee Rajah): Mdm Speaker, I beg to move, "That the Bill be now read a Second time."

The purpose of this Bill is to make provision in accordance with Articles 148(2) and 148C(2) of the Constitution for additional expenditure in excess of the provisions authorised by the Supply Act 2016. The additional sums have been presented as Supplementary Estimates of Expenditure for the Financial Year, 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017, as contained in Paper Cmd No 9 of 2017. Madam, I beg to move.
