40 Miss Rachel Ong asked the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs in view of the number of Malaysian motorcyclists involved in accidents in 2025, whether enforcement action against speeding motorcyclists along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and the Seletar Expressway (SLE) will be increased, given their regular use by Malaysian motorists.

Mr K Shanmugam: The Traffic Police (TP) deploys enforcement resources based on accident and traffic violation patterns and has intensified enforcement at accident-prone stretches along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and the Seletar Expressway. TP and the Land Transport Authority have also introduced targeted road calming measures, such as speed-regulating strips along the BKE, and will continue to review the necessity of additional measures.
