Data Integrity of Bus Waiting Time and Occupancy in ETA System Following January 2026 Glitch

26 Ms Valerie Lee asked the Acting Minister for Transport in light of the recent digital system glitch affecting the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) system in January 2026 (a) whether any data used prior to compute average bus waiting times and bus occupancy rates are affected; and (b) if so, whether any rectification has been done on retrospective data in order to re-assess the strategic planning of bus services.

Mr Jeffrey Siow: Data used to support bus planning, including travel times and occupancy rates, is generated by a different fleet management system. This system was not affected by the recent technical issues involving the Estimated Time of Arrival system.
